Apple walnut galette

Posted on 1 min read

Currently, apples seem to be the only fruit in season. So why not simply make more out of apples? In a way, apples are in season all year round. For the apple walnut galette, we have chosen the crisp and sour Granny Smith apples. The Granny Smith apples are easy to recognise by their bright green colour. This apple variety is harvested in autumn and is in peak season at the moment.

  8. Blend walnuts, sugar, rice flour, salt, melted butter and eggs in a blender until even in consistency.
  9. Spread the walnut mixture on the bottom.
  10. Peel the apples, halve them and cut them into slices of about 2-3mm thick.
  11. Sprinkle them with lemon juice.
  12. Cover the dough with the apple slices in a squared pattern, as seen in the photos above
